I’m so honored to share another birth story here in my sweet little space. Kaitlynn and I met while earning our bachelor degrees at McNeese and serving on the same committee for Up Til’ Dawn. We don’t often see one another, but when we do I know I can appreciate another mama loving her babes and the current stage of life that God has blessed her with. Birth stories are the absolute best, and if you’re anything like me, you relive the entire experience as you taste the words written by a mother, filled with gratitude, and saturated with pride. I hope that you enjoy this precious birth of an even more precious little girl written exclusively by her loving mother.
For the first time ever, I’ve opened my blog up for a guest post! Being the pregnancy and labor loving mama that I am, I absolutely delight in sharing stories about how other mamas bring their babes into this world. The first thing an expecting mother does, before the carseat or the crib is bought, is Google how painful labor will be. My search history during my pregnancies was laughable. “Does labor hurt?”, “How to labor without pain”, “Laboring methods”, “Do I have to get an enema when laboring” (always a good idea by the way…), “What does it feel like when your water breaks”, “Is there traffic on the interstate” (ha!). See, laughable. So for a temporary fix, my friend Mary Camille has shared with us her labor story! Big thanks to MC for opening up her heart to share the details of that beautiful day! Oh, and the pictures-they’ll make your heart thump! Enjoy!
